An Intro to Light Therapy, PRP and PPP

About Light Therapy

I want to share this with all my clients out there and would be clients:)

A co-worker of mine approached me at work a few weeks back and told me how she fell and received some trauma to her right arm. She showed me her arm-bruised and swollen from shoulder to the tip of her fingers and in pain with none too very little Range of motion. I gave her my brochure and told her to come see me for light therapy.

Light therapy -You ask yourself-what is that- how does it work?

The cells in the area that is exposed to light absorbs photons and transform their energy into adenosine triphospahte (ATP), the form of energy that is utilized by cells.

The resulting ATP is then used to power metabolic processes; synthesize DNA, RNA, proteins, enzymes, and other products needed to repair or regenerate cell components; and restore homeostasis (balance).

The result is that the absorbed energy is used to repair the tissue, reduce pain, improve circulation and restore normalcy to impaired biological processes.

In addition to accelerated healing, the penetrating light activates the production of endorphins and blocks the pain-transmitting chemicals.

So my co-worker came to see me. After 1 treatment her pain level went form 7-8/10 to 2/10. Her ROM increased and some of her ecchymosis started to disappear.

I was thrilled and happy for her.

What is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and PPP (Platelet Poor Plasma)?

PRP and PPP is the latest treatment for skin rejuvenation. Blood plasma that contains a concentrated source of autologous (belonging to the same person receiving the treatment) platelets, 6-9 x the baseline (+/- 200,000/ml). You ask yourself how does PRP work? PRP has growth factors that encourages new vessels and cell proliferation stimulating fibroblast cells that produce collagen and elastin and other fibers resulting in local tissue growth and repair of damaged tissue.

What are the benefits of micro-needling?
• Improves fine lines and deeper wrinkles
• Reduces acne scars
• Softens stretch marks
• Evens skin tone
• Lightens hyperpigmentation and sun spots
• Reduces appearance of pores
• Firms and smooths skin texture
• Heals scars
• Reduces broken capillaries and spider veins
• Brings back the glow for fresher, younger-looking skin

We take your blood and spin it, remove the PRP and inject into your face, Then we smear the PPP on your face, neck and décolleté’ and then we micro needle your skin to stimulate more production of collagen and elastin. Stem cells and growth factors in the dual spinned platelet will renew your cells, vessels resulting in new tissue. Then we treat the areas with Light therapy for a faster healing and recovery phase that continues to stimulate the fibroblast in your cells thus adding more collagen and elastin.
